The focus of this opening, which was attended by the General Manager of Biess, Diego Burneo, is to combine the continuous improvement of processes and attention in adequate infrastructure for the attention of members, retirees and citizens in general.
In January, the Biess implemented this strategy of renovation and relocation of service points so that access to its services is provided in adequate conditions, both in terms of location and security, and to carry out procedures related to credit products.
Punto Noticias. In order to speed up the flow of attention and reduce waiting times for affiliates and retirees, the Bank of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (Biess) will maintain attention on Saturdays, until January 2021, at the attention points of the Governmental Financial Platform, in Quito, at the Guayaquil Branch and at the Portoviejo Special Office.
The extension of opening hours was planned until November 2020, but the Biess will maintain the measure until January 2021, in order to serve more users, without risk of congestion and within strict biosecurity protocols.
The IESS Bank keeps its virtual channels and official social networks active, where users can verify if the service or information they need requires going to the service points.
Biess unsecured loans
Affiliates, retirees and citizens in general will have, as from Monday, January 11, a modern service point of the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute Bank (Biess), on the first floor, local B13, of the El Recreo Shopping Center, in Quito.
This is the first Biess service point in a shopping mall, which allows greater access to service for users, an issue that had been claimed by users who used to go to the agency on Rodrigo de Chávez Avenue, which will be replaced by this new option.
Considering the restrictions caused by the pandemic, collateral loan customers must make an appointment at the Call Center and those who want to manage mortgage and unsecured loans will have to prioritize the use of the Web page www.biess.fin.ec.
The new point of attention will have two advisors for mortgage and unsecured loans and nine staff members for the management of collateral loans, who will work under strict biosecurity and capacity parameters allowed by the cantonal COE in order to contribute to protect the health of users.
